How to Install Dust-Proof Accessories on a Three-Finger Pneumatic Gripper

Components Required for Installation

The dust-proof accessory kit includes:

1. Moving cover plate

2. Finger connection plates

3. Sealing rings

4. Locating pin sleeves

5. Locating pins

6. Top cover plate

7. Side cover plates

8. Side sealing blocks

Installation Steps

Step 1: Remove the Original Cover Plate

Before installing the dust-proof components, first remove the original cover plate of the gripper. Loosen the screws and carefully take off the existing cover.

Step 2: Install the Side Sealing Components

Install the side cover plates onto the side sealing blocks first.

Next, insert the locating pins into the gripper body. Each side requires two locating pins, with a total of six pins installed on three sides.

After positioning the side sealing blocks correctly, press them into place, install the screws, and tighten them securely. Repeat the same process for the remaining two sides.

Step 3: Install the Top Cover Plate

Place the top cover plate in the correct position and secure it with screws. A total of 18 screws are required for this installation.

Step 4: Install the Finger Connection Plates

First, install the locating pin sleeves. Each side requires two sleeves, for a total of six sleeves.

Then install the sealing rings onto the finger connection plates. Attach the moving cover plate with the sealing ring side facing the correct direction, and assemble it onto the locating sleeve positions.

Finally, install the finger locating pins to complete the assembly.

Improved Protection Performance

After installation, the dust-proof gripper provides improved protection against external contaminants.

Before connecting the protective air supply, the gripper provides an IP50 protection level. After connecting the S-port air line, the protection level can be increased up to IP64.

For the additional protective air circuit, a separate air supply line is required, with a recommended control pressure of 0.05–0.1 MPa.
